His career is distinguished by a wide array of certifications, including achievements such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE), Certified API Security Architect, CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+), CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+), Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK), Certificate of Competence in Zero Trust (CCZT), CompTIA Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+), Offensive Security Wireless Professional (OSWP), Microsoft’s AI platform, and certifications in Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Oracle cloud services.

Joe is a former EC-COUNCIL C|CISO, and among the very few Chiefs in the world who are also OffSec rated for offensive security cyber operations. Joe is qualified at the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) 8570 Baseline Certification for IAT Level III, IAM Level III, IASAE II, CSSP Analyst, CSSP Infrastructure Analyst, CSSP Incident Responder, CSSP Auditor, and CSSP Manager.

Joe has spent the majority of his career as a hands-on leader to his teams and strategic advisor to the organizations he supports, with success at the Chief and Global Director level of businesses with an annual revenue from $100M to $1B+.

Joe’s extensive experience includes supporting Fortune 100 clients and playing a key role providing technical expertise in support of State and Federal investigations and proceedings, with involvements ranging from cases within the U.S. District Courts to UCMJ matters with the United States Marines at Quantico.

Joe has contributed his expertise at dozens of conferences and events as keynote or panel speaker, sharing his knowledge and insights into the evolving technology landscape, current cyber security threats, and advancements with artificial intelligence. Joe completed his undergraduate degree at the College of the Holy Cross, his Master’s degree in Management from the Catholic University of America, a graduate certificate from Villanova University in ITIL, Information Security, and Project Management, and his Six Sigma certification from the University of Notre Dame.
